.Ziegler Instruments have announced a new innovative Test System allowing customers to identify Squeak and Rattle issues at the Body in White manufacturing phase
Ziegler Instruments have recently released a new Test System which allows Automotive Company’s to identify Squeak and Rattle issues at the Body in white stage of Pre Production.
This new Test system is completely mobile allowing users to install the System during the intial stages of pre production launch of their vehicles.
The SAREX Body in White Test System is a further expansion of the Ziegler range of SAREX Squeak and Rattle test systems that are widely used in the Automotive Testing industry to indetify annoying noises that adversely effect customer satisfaction
The SAREX Body in White allows vechicals to be tested both for torsional and direct body vibration , the torsional effects of the vechical are an important area that has been indentified as area that Automotive Engineers need to test more as the twisting effect of the Vehicle is a cause for some major Squeak and Rattle issues, that are very difficult to remedy once the vehicle is in full production.
The new System from Ziegler allows these torsional effects to be simulated via recorded data such as drive files taken from Test tracks, as added flexibility Ziegler have also included vertical vibration operation within the system.
The vertical Vibration is produced by shakers that have been proven to operate at noise levels that are specifically required for Squeak in Rattle Testing in the Automotive industry, the Vibration systems can be operate in a traditional single input mode or via Multiple Input with Multiple output mode (MIMO)
As with the SAREX Body in Whites Torsional test capability’s the Vibration systems can also accept and accurately reproduce either standard test profiles or those derived from recorded drive files.
