THP Systems recently announced that they will be offering existing Vibration systems users the ability to trade in their current Vibration Controllers for the 4th generation Spider 81, 81B  and 80X from Crystal Instruments in the United Kingdom.

Simon Calvert-Jones the THP UK Sales Manager commented “both THP Systems and Crystal Instruments recognise that many existing users of Vibration Controllers are eager to upgrade their old control systems, due to the reduction in software and hardware support from many controller manufacturers. Customers would also like to take advantage of new hardware and software features a modern controller brings to the test system”.

Crystal Instruments are at the fore front of Vibration Control development and technology, the Spider81, 81B and 80X have been developed to encompass the latest software user interface alongside features such as:-

• DSP centralized design with simple network connection

• 4 – 1024 input channels with excellent phase match

• PC-tethered mode or standalone Black Box mode

• 24 bit A/D and D/A, 130 dB input dynamic range

• Integrated IEPE output, charge amplifier, AC/DC coupling, TEDS

• Continuous recording for all channels at full sampling rate

• Test data and configurations are managed through a MySQL database

Crystals Spider family of controllers comes complete with a full suite of Vibration control software options and THP Systems will be able to tailor a trade-in program for our customer’s needs.
