Test chambers with chassis dyno can also be used to test brake noise and performance. In this case a special architecture must be realized in order to allow appropriate cooling of the braking system.
The temperature can be monitored in promixity to each wheel and dedicated filters are installed inside the air treatment unit to capture particles released from the brakes. A shell of sound adsorbing panels is installed inside the chamber to bring the noise to a very low level for appropriate measuring of noise made by the brakes.
